Papped on opening day

Two photographers were out on the 28th February 1883 to record the inauguration of the Malta Railway. The sequence of photographs they took of the first train arriving at Notabile station are an invaluable record. We know there were two, because one of them appears in a photo taken by the other! With the tripod clearly visible, the chap closest to the train was setting up for another of the memorable images.
