Back in 2009, two transport enthusiasts, Mac Head and Keith Hill were lucky enough to see inside the former Malta Railway workshops at Hamrun. We’ve been incredibly fortunate to be offered the use of their record of this little-seen building on this website.

Now with new diagrams, historic photos, and a new interpretation of the works, a detailed account of their layout and surviving features is presented here in our “All that remains” section.
