Brining back a little colour

I’m not fond of historic photos being colourised, the standard algorithms often producing inauthentic and misleading results. However, I’ve found new filters on Photoshop that allow greater control of the computer’s interpretation of contrasts and textures. Even so, there’s been a lot of work put in after the automated processes to add detail and authenticity to these few views.

I can’t say I’m entirely happy with any of them, but some look to me more convincing than others. You might have your own thoughts. I hope at least they give a new perspective and reality to the long lost railway.
